🩸 Core Mechanics

Getting a handle on the brutal mechanics of Lifesteal is key to surviving the season. Here’s a breakdown of how health works on our server.

💔 The Heart System

In Lifesteal, your health bar is constantly changing based on how you play.

  • Gaining Hearts: Every time you take down another player in PvP, you're literally stealing a piece of their life. you'll instantly absorb 1 heart from their max health and add it to your own.
  • Losing Hearts: On the flip side, if you're defeated by another player, you'll lose 1 heart from your maximum health pool.
  • Environmental Deaths: Watch your step! Depending on the season's settings, dying to things like lava, fall damage, or mobs can also permanently take a heart from your pool.
  • Health Limits: You don't just stay at 10 hearts forever. You'll start with a set base value, and by winning fights (or crafting), you can grow your health pool all the way up to the server's max health limit (usually between 20 and 40 hearts, depending on the season).

☠️ Elimination (Exile)

This is the most important part to understand. Lifesteal isn't just a casual stroll through the woods.

If your health pool is completely drained and you hit 0 hearts, you'll be eliminated from the game.

What happens at 0 hearts?

You'll be placed into Spectator Mode or an Elimination Ban. You won't be able to build, fight, or interact with the world until one of your teammates steps up and revives you.

Guard your health with your life, and always keep an eye out for anyone looking to make you their next target!
