πŸ”° Beginner's Guide

Welcome to LuxaMC Lifesteal! If you're new here, jumping into a hardcore PvP server can feel a little intense at first. This guide is here to walk you through the basics of surviving your first few hours, making some cash, and setting up a hidden base without losing your precious hearts.

πŸƒ First Steps: Getting Started

Before you dive in, make sure you're ready to connect! Just a reminder, you can join using any Minecraft version from 1.8.9 or newer on either Java or Bedrock Edition.

When you first log in, you'll spawn at the main hub (/spawn). Don't worry, this is a total safe zone. No damage or heart loss allowed here.

  1. Leave Spawn: Type /rtp to teleport randomly into the wilderness. This is where your real adventure starts.
  2. Use Your Grace Period: As a new player, you'll get a temporary PvP protection grace period. Make the most of it! Stock up on wood, stone, and food without worrying about veterans hunting you down.
  3. Set a Home: Once you find a safe, secluded spot, type /sethome to mark your base. You can teleport back here at any time by typing /home.

Pro Tip

Always carry plenty of food and a water bucket! Environmental damage (like falling or burning) can be just as lethal as another player.

πŸ’° Making Money

You'll need money (your Balance) to buy gear, blocks, and life-saving items like Revive Beacons. Here are the best ways to fill your wallet:

  • The Server Shop: The easiest way to make money early on is to farm resources like crops, mob drops, or ores and sell them. Open the shop with /shop and check out the "Sell" categories.
  • Bounty Hunting: Feeling confident in your PvP skills? Use /bounty to see if anyone has a price on their head. Take them down, and the reward is yours.
  • Grinding & Farming: Building large, automated farms (like sugarcane or mob grinders) and selling the items in bulk is the best way to get rich in the long run.

πŸ—³οΈ Voting for the Server

Want some free loot while supporting the community? Voting for LuxaMC every day helps the server grow and rewards you in the process!

Type /vote in-game to get links to our 5 voting sites.

🀝 Trading with Players

Trading with other players is often much more profitable than selling to the shop. Here are the two safest ways to do it:

1. The Auction House (/ah)

This is our global marketplace. You can list items here for others to buy, even while you're offline.

  • To Sell: Hold the item you want to sell and type /ah sell <price>. (For example, /ah sell 500 to list it for $500).
  • To Buy: Type /ah to browse what's for sale. Just click an item to buy it safely.

2. Secure Direct Trading (/trade)

Found a buyer in chat? Never just drop items on the ground! Use the secure trade menu instead.

  • Look at the player and type /trade <playername>.
  • A menu will open where both of you can put in items or money. You both have to click "Accept" for the trade to go through. It's the best way to make sure you never get scammed!

πŸ›‘οΈ Hiding Your Base

Warning: No Base Protection!

In Lifesteal, griefing and raiding are a huge part of the game. We don't have a land claiming system, so if someone finds your base, they can take your loot and tear it down.

  • Stay Hidden: Never build too close to spawn or out in the open. Travel thousands of blocks away, dig deep underground, or build high in the sky. A simple wooden house probably won't last long!
  • Hide Your Chests: Bury your chests under lava, hide them behind walls, or spread your loot across several secret outposts. Don't put all your eggs in one basket!
  • Use Your Ender Chest: Always keep your most valuable stuff. Items like Revive Beacons, maxed-out armor, or extra hearts should stay in your Ender Chest (/ec). It's the only place other players can't touch.

❓ Quick Newbie FAQ

Q: Do I lose a heart if I starve or fall off a cliff?

A: It depends on the season's settings! Usually, environmental deaths are just as dangerous as PvP deaths. Keep an eye on your hunger and watch your step.

Q: How do I get more hearts without fighting?

A: Type /recipe in-game. You can actually craft extra hearts using some very rare, late-game materials.

Q: Can I team up with my friends?

A: Definitely! Use /team create <name> to start a clan, and /team invite <player> to bring your friends in. Surviving is always easier in a group.
